FAQ
Is it free?
Yes. Every feature is free, with no sign-up and no ads.
Do my photos get uploaded?
No. Photos are read inside your browser, on your device, and never sent anywhere. The same goes for your palettes.
Where are my palettes saved?
In this browser, on this device. Clearing your browser data removes them, so use Export library in the Library to keep a backup file you can import later.
Can I export to Tailwind?
Yes: a Tailwind v4 theme or Tailwind v3 colors, as well as CSS variables, JSON and a plain hex list. Token names come from the color names, and you can rename them.
What do AA and AAA mean?
They are the readability levels in the web’s accessibility guidelines (WCAG). AA needs a contrast of 4.5:1 for body text, or 3:1 for large text; AAA needs 7:1. The Contrast tab rates every pair of your colors.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On a phone the colors stack as rows and a Generate button sits at the bottom of the screen, so nothing needs a keyboard.
